WGA Membership Dues and Billing Policy

As stated in Section 3-10 of the Club Bylaws, the Western Golf Alliance retains the right to collect fees and dues from members from time to time in such amounts as deemed adequate to operate and maintain the club.

The dues that members contribute to the WGA help stimulate interest in golf, promote and conserve the best interests and true spirit of the game of golf as embodied in its ancient and honorable traditions, foster a closer bond and fraternity for the joint and mutual benefit of members, encourage conformance to the USGA Rules of Golf and the USGA handicap system, and provide an authoritative body to govern and conduct club competitions.

The following are the club policies and guidelines associated with membership billing and dues.

Membership Dues

Presently, the annual dues for membership in the WGA are $0.

Billing Schedule

Members will be billed on a biennial basis, consistent with the fiscal calendar of the club. Members will receive their first notice in early October of all even numbered years, in an amount sufficient for two year's membership.

A second notice will be sent 90 days later. 30 days after the second notice, the payment will be considered late, and the member will be considered out of compliance with club policies.

Billing and Payment Procedures

Member billing will be performed by the Regional Coordinator for finances, as directed by Treasurer. Member payments will be returned to the Regional Coordinator for finances.

In turn, each region will provide an accounting to the Treasurer of the following:
-- Members in good standing who have paid
-- Members who have not paid
-- Transmission of the applicable funds to the club

Associated Club Policies

Failure to pay dues in a timely manner forfeits the member's good standing within the WGA. Such loss of standing affects the members ability to participate in golf events, and hold positions on various boards and committees.

Upon payment of dues and any accrued late charges, a member's good standing is immediately re-instated.

Failure to pay dues prior to the conclusion of the biennial billing cycle results in termination of the individual's membership in the WGA.

Dues are not part of any other expense or fee structure, which may be required to cover greens fees and expenses associated with certain golf events.
